Delivery of meals to healthcare professionals at São Francisco de Xavier – July 2020

Faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, Chef Tanka wanted to honour the healthcare professionals at São Francisco Xavier Hospital by offering hot meals. It was a way of thanking these professionals for their commitment to fighting the pandemic.

Donation to the Food Bank and Nepalese immigrants – April 2020

Chef Tanka set aside 10% of the turnover of his four restaurants during the month of April 2020. Of this amount, half was given to the Food Bank in products, delivered directly to the President of the Portuguese Federation of the Food Bank Against Hunger, Isabel Jonet. The other half went to a fund set up to help Nepalese immigrants affected by Covid-19.

Collecting signatures for the European Parliament – May 2021

Signatures were collected for the European Parliament in order to send aid to Nepal, which was struggling at the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Supporting COVID-19 Nepal – May 2021

Chef Tanka made a donation to the Rabi Lamichhane Foundation, which supports people in need in Nepal, to help combat the effects of Covid-19.
